FULLERTON, Calif. - The UC Davis softball team dropped its series finale against Cal State Fullerton, 2-0, on Saturday. The Aggies secured the series victory with a sweep of the doubleheader yesterday. After the day, the Ags move to 15-8 overall and 2-1 in Big West Conference play.
Junior Kenedi Brown (8-4) was tagged with the loss after going six innings, giving up two runs, both of them earned, on four hits, and striking out two.
Junior Sarah Starks led the at the plate for the Aggies, going 1-for-2 with a walk. The Ags were held to two hits and Sarah Nakahara had the other tally for UCD.
UC Davis held Cal State Fullerton to just four hits but a run in the opening frame and another in third was enough for the Titans to secure the win.
The Aggies will host their first conference series of the season as they welcome Long Beach State for a three-game set at La Rue Field. The series will begin with a doubleheader on Saturday, March 25.
